Advanced Reproductive Management

Dr. Dick Wallace will lead eleven sessions along with Dr. Mike Hutjens. The focus of this course is advanced techniques and technologies used to manage production livestock. Implementation of existing and emerging techniques and technologies and research and discovery will be covered for individuals focusing on careers in livestock production, clinical veterinary medicine, education, technical service/support and research and development. The course will emphasize advanced and emerging technologies such as embryo transfer, cloning, semen sexing and ultrasound pregnancy diagnosis and fetal sexing and innovations in existing procedures including artificial insemination, reproductive health management and estrus synchronization. This course was previously listed as ANSC 374.

Training Modules

Training modules for the class are on a CD-ROM and are on average 10 to 15 minutes in length. The modules are lectures given by the particular subject matter expert. There are approximately five training modules assigned per week. It is in the student's best interest to review the training modules before the weekly discussion.
